People want to know what the point of using compostables is if it's still going to a landfill or incinerator. It's a good question !

Most importantly NOT buying regular plastic is a divestment from fossile fuels, something the world desperately needs. It's projected that by 2050 nearly 30% of all GHG emissions will be from plastic production.
There is no silver bullet for the climate crisis but there is a huge web of solutions that already exist. All we have to do is make it a priority. If consumers don't demand better products and better waste management solutions there is no incentive for big polluters or the government to change their methods.
